    How the figure is produced

    • Six dimensions are scored 0–100: complaint performance, tariff competitiveness, customer service, direct-debit fairness, consumer transparency and market stability.
    • The overall score is the published weighted average of those six dimensions, using fixed weights.
    • Only suppliers marked as published appear on the site; unpublished rows are held back for review.

    • PowerGuardian public data register — supplier scores
    • Scores are modelled by PowerGuardian from published complaints, tariff and service data.
    • Coverage is limited to major Great Britain household suppliers open to new customers.

What this figure cannot tell you

    • Coverage is not comprehensive — only major household suppliers open to new customers are tracked.
    • Scores summarise performance across a cycle and cannot predict an individual customer's experience.
    • Conditional or time-limited incentives are excluded from tariff scoring so they cannot distort rankings.

    Where it is published

    • Supplier score weighting — The fixed weights applied to each scoring dimension to produce the overall score.
    • Supplier claim evidence — The dated source behind each individual supplier claim, such as a complaints ratio or a tariff figure.
